So this past weekend we got to do some fun stuff like walk around the city, go to the Portland Headlight which was beautiful (even though it was a little overcast), and go grocery shopping where we found Lobster for $4.99/lb. Being that we are on a small stipend for groceries...we bought some haha...but only bought 4 for the 6 of us, even though the woman at the grocery store told us that normally she eats about 2 lobsters for a meal (oops). But 4 actually lasted us and we tried to make our own lobster rolls. I've been on the hunt for the cheapest Lobster roll in town since I want to be like a typical Mainer, but $8.25 (the cheapest we've found) is still a little too much, even though I may just splurge at one time. The lobster and our lobster roll creation was delicious even though we were criticized by one of our JVC support people that we did it horribly wrong...but hey, lobster is lobster, and Maine is the place to be for Lobster so i'll eat it however I want.
p.s. getting all the meat out of the lobster reminded me of eating crabs, and baltimore, and then LOYOLA, and so the best transition from crab is lobster, so lobster is our new best friend!! sorry Santh, salmon just isn't as good!
woah woah woah! Are you comparing Maine lobster to Alaskan salmon?? There is simply no comparison! I've had Maine lobster before and eh, it's just OK. Alaskan salmon, on the other hand, is AMAZINGGGG. This is coming from the vegetarian so you know I speak the truth. Haha only kdding I'm glad you're loving the lobster and are getting creative in the kitchen! You typical Mainer you :)
